Ch Ch Ch Changes

So, thankfully Spring has arrived, even though it snowed yesterday a little. Miserable!

I am working towards quitting smoking. It has been over a week since I last had a cigarette. The price increase had a lot to do with the timing, but I think I was getting close to quitting anyway. The dumbass who said the first 3 days were the worst is a fucking liar. My cravings actually seem to be getting worse! I am determined however to make this my last attempt to break the habit.

My opinion on the price hike? It was to be expected. I will say however that since they feel the need to punish smokers, they should also step up and add extra taxes to fast food resturants and EVERYTHING else that could enable a person to become really fat. It's only fair.

My friend Kim is getting close to having her baby. She and Nick have stayed strong in the face of some pretty big challenges with this pregnancy. I admire them for that. That strength must have passed on to their unborn son, because he has turned out to quite the fighter! Keep them in your prayers the next couple of weeks.

As I'm sure most of you already know, Kody has given birth to a dog. I have some mixed emotions about our dear Ti. I do love the little shit, and think that our bond will grow with time. I do still tend to side with the cats, and have offered Kody full rights of the dog in return for full rights over Tripper(seeing how he likes me better anyway, lol.) Kody declined this offer.

I am determined to go to a concert this summer! Cyndi Lauper's tour dates have not been set as of yet, so I will wait for that. Pat Benatar will be in Chicago on August 17th, so that is a possibility. I will research some more.

Seems this recession has been pretty hard on my childhood home. It may be a shithole, but there are a lot of memories there, and it does not deserve this. Here's to the end of what has been.
